This is a nice park, but if you are expecting city park amenities, lower your expectations. The beach part of the park is small -- a couple hundred meters by 30 meters. The shoreline is cobble -- 1-2 inch round rock. This is backed by a berm with a wide path. Behind this is a large beaver pond. There are no picnic tables.

A quiet fall day with bright sunshine. Teaching signs regarding the site. A beaver dam and pond separated from beach by a berm. We saw great blue heron in the bay.

People were buiding fires on the beach, and there is lots of driftwood to burn or sit on.

There are nature signs on the trail at the top that are well done and informative.

Beautiful little gem hidden on Redrooffs road on the Sunshine Coast. Nice beach and beautiful trails to walk along, in particular the massive bluff off to the left hand side of the beach has many places to explore. In the fall and winter time storms blow in quite strongly so bring a jacket and gloves as it can get fairly chilly. Spring and summer it's a nice beach to go swimming in, with clear water and pebble shores.

Beautiful trees and ferns. Lush vegetation. Quiet. No hookups but so peaceful. Lovely walk to beach.

The park continues behind the lake and extends several kilometers up Sargeant Creek. This forest is a mix of cedar, doug fir, and bigleaf maple, all second growth, but some are now quite large. The overall impression is one of gloom, with not much understory vegetation. It's also quite monotonous, with very few places where you can see as much as 30 meters.

this used to be a five star beach area , I would come to this beach 15 years ago ,with my daughter it truly was a great spot .but when we were there last which was three weeks and we walked the beach and within 5 minutes we collected over 5LBS of garbage, such as a syringe, cigar plastic filters ,condoms, womens feminine products, all kinds of garbage....makes me sick!!!!! its one very small beach... WHY?

Toilet facilities are drop tanks with the usual scent. No washing facilities.
